Kaya Artemis Wedding Photographer
A beachfront resort in the Bafra tourism zone, about 12 km east of İskele. Its architecture is modelled on the Temple of Artemis, and it has roughly 250 metres of beach plus its own pier.
The architecture is both an opportunity and a trap: columns and broad staircases make a strong backdrop, but leaning every frame on them flattens the album. I use the decorative structures sparingly and leave room for the day's own moments.
Light
This is the island's east coast, which inverts what you know from the Kyrenia side: the sun rises out of the sea. The hour for light on the water is early morning. By late afternoon the sun has moved behind the land — the sea flattens, but frames facing inland pick up a warm backlight. On this coast the ceremony time decides the photographs more than anything else.
The pier and the long beach suit frames that want an open horizon. For shade, the colonnades and the space under the columns do the work.
Practical
Capacity, noise and curfew rules, drone permission — those are the venue's own policies and they change. I would rather not invent them: ask the venue directly, send me the answer, and we plan from the same information.
Practical notes
- Light
- The shore faces east: light on the water is a morning thing and sunset falls behind the land. The colonnades provide the shade.
- Getting there
- Bafra tourism zone; about 12 km from İskele and 32 km from Famagusta.
